Jochen Giehl, Thorsten Benner, Dirk Pillekamp, and Uwe Geissler – together with over 100 years of experience in the design and service of shredder.

Until the company was founded in 2012, the founders and current managing directors of PULS GmbH, Jochen Giehl and Thorsten Benner, held management positions at Vecoplan AG, where they were involved in the development of the shredder models VAZ 2000 and VAZ 2500 as well as the two-shaft machine models VNZ (L/XL), VVZ and VVZ Hurricane. Due to the resulting special expertise with regard to the requirements of Vecoplan machines, PULS GmbH has specialized in offering spare parts for this manufacturer. However, we can also offer spare parts for machines or shredders from other manufacturers on request.

Dirk Pillekamp joined the PULS team in 2021. He also has special expertise in the requirements for spare parts for machines from the manufacturer Vecoplan. He contributes the experience he has gained there from countless customer visits to advising our customers and developing PULS products.

Since 2017, Uwe Geissler has been a partner at PULS, where he is responsible for customer support in Austria. With over 20 years of professional experience in plant engineering and shredding technology, he brings extensive expertise and practical know-how to provide customers with reliable advice and support.

What we do

Distribution

We offer far more than just standard wear parts. We can supply you with the complete portfolio of parts for your shredder – from cutting crowns to complete assemblies such as rotors with bearings, screens, counter knife bars, ram, bridge breaker and much more.
Quality is our benchmark: from the materials we choose to the way we manufacture every component.

Construction

Our specialty lies in optimizing parts and assemblies to create real added value for our customers. We make shredders more efficient, easier to maintain, and ultimately more economical.
Many customers, for example, benefit from our PULS rotor, which significantly increases throughput capacity. Others rely on our patented ECO rotor for Lindner Komet machines, where the tool holders welded onto plates can be changed in a comparatively short time.

Another specialty of ours is the replacement of complete areas of the machine housing. If safe operation is no longer guaranteed in the long term due to wear or corrosion, we can repair your shredder to full functionality by replacing side walls or partial areas.

The PULS Timeline

History

2012

PULS GmbH is founded.
From the very beginning, the focus is not only on the sale of spare and wear parts, but also on the targeted improvement and adaptation of shredders to customer requirements.

2013

To increase throughput, delivery of the first PULS rotor with 60 mm cutting crowns for secondary shredding of RDF.
A few months later, delivery of the second PULS rotor to the same customer, due to the outstanding results in terms of efficiency.
Further development of the VAZ 2000, VAZ 2500 and VNZ flipper (pneumatically pretensioned counter blade crosshead) for greater resistance to impurities and protection against wear.

2015

Design and construction of our own shredder with a machine width of 1300 mm for extensive testing of the PULS rotor in various materials in addition to EBS (including wood, paper, plastic, metals, viscoplastic materials).

2016

Design and patenting of the ECO rotor for Lindner Komet shredders.
Special feature: Screwed blade holders, a joint project with CutMetall).

2017

Delivery of the first rotor (with 5 rows of knives) for Lindner Komet 2800 with optimized arrangement of the knife holders.
Delivery of the first ECO rotor (with 5 rows of knives) for Lindner Komet 2800.
Development of special tool holders with which our PULS cutting crowns can be used on Vecoplan standard rotors.

2018

Delivery of the first PULS rotor with 80 mm cutting crowns for secondary shredding of household waste.
Delivery of the second PULS rotor with 80 mm cutting crowns to the same customer.

2019

Delivery of the first rotor for Eldan Super Chopper (pre-shredding of tires).
First-time replacement of a complete machine head on a VAZ 2000 M NF-T.

2021

Delivery of the first ECO rotor (with 7 rows of knives) for Lindner Komet 2800.
Supply of “side panel cassettes” for the modular replacement of complete areas of a machine housing.

2024

Immediately very successful test runs of our self-developed torque motors at customers with VAZ 2000 and VAZ 2500 in extra demanding applications.

2025

Delivery of the 20th PULS rotor
